Don't waste your money on a KitchenAid…
Don't waste your money on a KitchenAid mixer. Have just spoken to Customer Service about the chipped enamel on both the dough and beater attachments. It is apparently my fault, as I must of chipped it either washing up or the attachment was hitting the sides of the mixer, nothing to do with the quality of course. I can replace the items, the improved non coated ones at a cost of £159.00 a set. I also still can use the chipped ones apparently, as the enamel will not fall off into my cake or bread mixture. Still trying to figure that one out and I also wonder why the company continues to produce a sub standard product as normal, as I am definitely not the first to have this problem. It's a case of looks over quality.

Buyers beware
If I could give - stars I would.
Shockingly bad customer service on all counts and that’s if you can get a response from them. I only did after 3 ignored emails, calls to various numbers on the website- which don’t actually work and then by shaming them on social media.
They actually insinuated my mixer was 23 years old and I was pulling a fast one- my dough hook was faulty not the mixer and after only 3 months. (They obv can’t work their database correctly and they then decided it was made in 2020 not 2000) Then I was accused of washing it incorrectly, dropping it and using it incorrectly.
The customer service staff are clearly incompetent and despite the high value of their items, they obv don’t invest in their staff or customer service training.
It’s such a shame as I love their products and have many of them but I won’t be purchasing anymore. In fact I bought plastic jugs for £27 last week and this has just highlighted what an idiot I am- I mean £27 for plastic jugs….. buyer beware. They used to be the best but have obv sold out to cheap manufacturing

Poor customer service
Used my new mixer once and the dough hook chipped and I am told it’s not under warranty. How can that be ok in a brand new mixer. Disappointing customer service for sure.

Bad experience with Kitchen Aid direct!
We purchased a Kitchen Aid food processor after seeing an advert on Health Service Discounts targeted at NHS staff. The link took us to kitchenaid.co.uk which we trusted was a UK based reputable supplier. The food processor arrived and because of a family bereavement which took our attention we didn't open the box over Christmas. When we did open the box, we found it was too large for our space. Not having noticed the 14 day return policy, we tried to return it just over a month later, expecting that Kitchen Aid would show us goodwill and allow the late return. They were very difficult to contact and refused our request point blank despite several e-mails and phone calls. No sympathy or understanding at all. Despite the misleading '.co.uk' web address, they are based in Belgium, not the UK, which makes them much harder to deal with. Wish I'd seen the bad reviews on this site before being lured by their marketing campaign. Don't buy from kitchenaid.co.uk direct unless you don't care about customer service or your money!

Wish I'd read about their rubbish…
Wish I'd read about their rubbish customer service before.

Saved for a mixer for AGES and finally took the plunge only to realise not only is part of their website wrong when it comes to offers (first promising 50% off for an accessory, then only giving 15%), but they only tell you on the invoice that any engraving will look as rubbish as it does on the 'preview' tool. In my case this would go into the logo so I emailed them 20mins (!) after placing my order to amend it. No reply. Several emails later, still no reply. Social media messages. No reply. Finally I cancelled my order, ONLY FOR THEM TO SHIP IT ANYWAY TODAY!! Cue an email to DHL head office who have intervened to have the thing sent back to them plus a fraud complaint with my credit card company. And now I get to wait for my refund so I can by my darn mixer via a company that isn't rubbish. Honestly DO NOT BUY FROM KITCHENAID DIRECTLY!! Oh and to top it off you cannot leave a review on their own website. Absolute scam.

Kettle Model 5EK1722BSX (£100.00…
Kettle Model 5EK1722BSX (£100.00 approx)
The kettle above was a replacement for the original (4months use- lid sticking) replaced by Kitchenaid however they took sometime to replace. We purchased a new kettle elsewhere. When it arrived put the new kettle into storage not needed now. Recently started using with in a week lid will not open with out a struggle! This is brand new unused!
I have spoken to Kitchenaid customer service - very nice people. Out of warranty/do not do repairs and no local agents.
I suspect their returns yard will be full of kettles with sticking lids.
It’s said on their web site warranty up to 6 years for partial refund.
Offered me 30% discount of their pricey web site.
This experience is poor a brand new kettle £100 (2019)and the lid will not open.
Do your self a favour and buy a Delongi - lid never stuck on this in 2.5 years.

Disappointing repair service
Really disappointed to discover that Kitchenaid won't attempt to repair my Artisan Nespresso maker. Admittedly it is quite a few years old but it has had little use as it is in my holiday home. Discovered also that Nespresso no longer repair Kitchenaid machines and I can't find an independent repairer either as even those that advertise that they repair 99% of Nespresso machines, can't or won't deal with this one. So, despite fabulous build quality and near mint condition, I'm gonna have to bin it. I WON'T be buying Kitchenaid again. Surely, at a time when we're trying to save the planet by cutting down on waste, manufacturers should try harder to repair and re-use?

Friend for life - but can’t be repaired
Nine months after sending in my KitchenAid mixer - and confirming receipt at their end - nothing since. They can’t repaid it. No parts.
Their marketing strategy calls these mixers a ‘friend for life’. I really don’t know what to do next. I know I can’t afford to spend that type of money on something that doesn’t last as it ‘should’, can’t be repaired and is with a company that really doesn’t care. So sad.

Good product, terrible service and loss of money
Don't ignore the reviews,
Don't order online.
They have the item. It was never delivered. Their courier (DHL) shows on its portal that it was returned to them.
8 emails to and more than 2 weeks later, their first response which claims that the item was delivered.
Yet, they could not produce any evidence for delivery.
It is now with the credit card company as a dispute.

Needless to say, I called the call centre. Twice.

What a headache

I wish that the company was as good as the product.

Worst customer service ever
Worst customer service ever. Received a machine as a gift, was faulty so sent it off for repair. Took ages for them to actually arrange it and then it wasn't picked up twice. After three weeks of waiting I received an email that it will be replaced with a new one which has now been delivered. But not to me. To a random person with a proof of delivery picture that is neither me nor at my address. And of course again, no reply to my emails. Worst service ever.

Excellent products
Excellent products, excellent service

I am a long term customer of Kitchenaid, owning about 11 appliances in total - from the retro fridge to microwave, plus other small bits and pieces.

I have always been pleased with the performance of the products and on the one occasion my microwave developed a fault, Kitchenaid sorted it immediately with an engineer visit.

Yes, Kitchenaid are not the cheapest, but they should last a lifetime.

The only room for improvement is a little more consistency with the colours available in the UK wouldn’t go a miss.

I am still waiting for the coffee grinder to be released in onyx :)

Customer Service rubbish
I have been trying to return an order, I tried to cancel it immediately , their phone lines don’t work so I emailed to cancel. They still sent it out and now do not respond to my email requesting a cancellation. I like my original mixer but it’s a shame they can’t look after their customers

Poor quality attachments
Fairly disappointed that the white coating on my dough hook has chipped and flaked off (after fairly minimal use). It's out of warranty so they will not replace it. If they were confident about the quality I think they'd probably offer lifetime warranty like other brands do!

The glass mixing bowel broke in the dishwasher and told it was not covered dispite several requests to review it. Only used a few times each year less than two years old told to seak other legal advice. So much for the piece of mind 6 year guarantee.
Wouldn't buy again had a mincer attachment break twice saying it was user error but the metal thread broke same place both times.
